Ontario, Canada

I started riding my bike into the small town I grew up outside of as a means of transportation. The bike was my passport to adventure and the clearest path to independence. I explored mountain biking through my teens but it was love at first ride with road cycling - the feeling was so similar to the speed and fluidity of alpine skiing (my sporting first love and long time passion). Despite the immediate pull of the road, it still took me some time to get into cycling. I was intimidated. I felt like all the cyclists around me were far superior and I would be holding everyone up. But for some reason, maybe as a side effect of being slightly older and more self-assured, I came to realize that I get to define what the bike is to me. The experience is my own.
I am now fully invested in road cycling and exploring gravel riding too! My ride distances are increasing slowly and I can feel my strength and power improving day by day. I want to ride to ride farther and faster and I am hungry for more speed. But I also have an overwhelming desire to share my excitement with my non-cycling friends and family and pull them into our growing community.  I love riding with friends young and old and sharing the joy of being outside and living fully together.
Outside of cycling, I have had the opportunity to lead and coach others and derive great satisfaction out of making athletes and clients feel their best and most confident. Whether it is alpine skiing or fashion styling or staff training, building up those around me is critically important. This is why I connected so quickly with Peppermint’s vision of empowering woman in their cycling and outdoor pursuits. We each have our own personal goals but we are all connected by the bicycle. And when we put on our Peppermint jersey and kit, we feel amazing and sieze the opportunity to own our experience and be the fiercest, strongest and most empowered versions of ourselves.
I'm honoured to break the pattern with the Peppermint Collective and look forward to the adventures we can go on together in the future
