Cap sur Lévis, QC - In Kath Patry's Backyard

Head to Lévis, on the South Shore of Quebec City.

To discover three of the most beautiful bike paths in the region! One route, three bike paths: yes, they succeed to one another to create the most beautiful ride. First, there’s the very popular Parcours des Anses that runs along the St. Lawrence River, then there’s the Parcours Harlaka, with its own viaduct that crosses highway 20 and finally, the Cycloroute de Bellechasse, built on an old railway line.

Due to its location and layout, this is a very accessible, beginner level ride. With the possibility to ride for nearly 200 km, intermediate and advanced cyclists have the choice to make it a great endurance ride, and mostly away from cars!

Ride Details:

✧ Suggested starting point: Lévis, QC (O’Ravito café relais). There are many free parking areas in the surroundings (you can park directly at the café or nearby).

The Start:

If you want to start at the very beginning of the Parcours des Anses, then a start at the O’Ravito Café is a must! Nothing beats a nice coffee in a charming local café with one (or two!) homemade pastry. Several other starting points are also accessible along the route, whether it’s in Lévis (free parking at St. Lawrence Park) or further, in Saint-Henri (free parking here). You can also access the route from Quebec by taking the ferry.

➼ Stops During the Ride:

➼ Depending on the season and the day, you might come across some foodtrucks around the ferry pier, on the Parcours des Anses, 7 km from the suggested starting point.

➼ If you are craving an ice cream, there is the Bar laitier Vanille-Chocolat in Saint-Henri, 26 km from the suggested starting point, *cash only*.

➼ If you decide to go for the long run on the 200 km ride, visit the parc des Chutes d’Armagh’s restaurant, located at the very end of the Cycloroute de Bellechasse.

➼ Stop at  Le Corsaire microbrewery for the classic after-ride beer, 7 km from the suggested starting point, near the ferry pier.
