Growing up in Gaspésie, surrounded by nature, I was quickly initiated to outdoor sports. The easy access to mountains didn’t really give me the choice to explore them in many different ways: hiking, canoeing, kayaking, snowboarding, backcountry skiing…
In life, I love a good challenge and new sports don’t scare me. Apart from outdoor sports, I used to also regularly practise soccer, athletics, CrossFit, golf, bouldering and yoga.
It is only when I moved to Montreal that I decided to buy my first road bike so I could explore my surroundings. I immediately fell in love with cycling, a sport that allows me to spend my energy and discover new places at the same time.
A few years ago now, I moved back to Gaspésie, and that is when I tried mountain biking. I have to say that I was a little hesitant at first, but my friends quickly convinced me to try. It is now a sport in which I want to improve myself, even if road cycling remains my ultimate passion.
